in june 2018, the office of management and budget (omb) released omb memorandum m-18-19, which establishes the administration’s initial guidance to federal agencies for implementing the program management improvement accountability act (pmiaa). pmi looks forward to working with agencies and program management improvement officers in the coming months to implement this key legislation.

providing direct assistance and recommendations to u.k. government working groups on knowledge management, standards and more to ensure policy is informed by the global leading practices in project and program management.
following the eu commission’s assessment and review of the european qualifications framework (eqf), the pmi project management professional (pmp)® certification is now included within esco (multilingual classification of european skills, competences, qualifications and occupations) classification at the eu level. esco is an important deliverable of the europe 2020 strategy for a well-prepared eu labor market, and the inclusion of the pmp® certification reinforces its status as the globally recognized gold standard of project management certifications.
successfully advocated to have project management recognized as part of the u.s. department of labor’s bureau of labor statistics standard occupation classification (soc) system starting in 2018.
serving as a resource for the u.s. house committee on homeland security and the u.s. senate committee on homeland security and intergovernmental affairs focusing on legislation to improve acquisition program management across multiple agencies including:
